When on 15 March 1848, the young poet Sándor Petőfi unleashed the Hungarian Revolution with his passionate poem, the National Song, the Austrians sent a secret agent to thwart the uprising. While Petőfi, Mór Jókai, Pál Vasvári and their comrades work on printing the 12 Points, organise mass demonstrations and try to free Mihály Táncsics from prison, an agent called Farkas kidnaps Julia Szendrey with underworld figures. With their spectacular adventure film, director Balázs Lóth, creative producers Philip Rákay and Vajk Szente show "how the revolution happened and how it could have happened".
