In this 6-session course, paper craftswoman Tünde Szentgyörgyi will show you step-by-step the tools, materials and applications needed to make hand-bound books.

Participants will be introduced to simple structures, Japanese binding, tape binding, Coptic and lettering. They will learn the basic steps of accurate measuring and cutting, paper handling, folding, gluing and sewing. During the course, they will take home 7-8 books of their own making, which they can later make at home without the use of special tools.

Participation does not require any previous experience or training in bookbinding.

Beginners and advanced players are welcome, from the age of 16.

Participation fee: 46 500 HUF/person, which includes the necessary materials and the use of tools.
