Seven Dead Beetles Shine in Her Drenched Hair - Radnóti Evening
Guest:Juhász Anna
"What can war give us?" Today, when every news item, every conversation, every affair, every turning away is about war, few people ask the question: what can we learn from it? We forget that it was not so long ago, 80 years ago, that Miklós Radnóti, one of the greatest poets in Hungarian, but perhaps one of the greatest poets in world literature, died. And his widow, Fanni Gyarmati, was faithful to her husband and their life's work from the age of 14 until she was 102. Their story, their letters and Radnóti's poems show us the basic position in which we should exist today. That, even in the most difficult times, we can see that "the moon is wavering in the dark sky". After nearly two years of research, the QJÚB team brings its latest performance to Veszprém with its usual design, on a set by Edina Palkovits, also projected with archival material. Before the performance, Anna Juhász, a literary scholar, will give an informal literature lesson and introduce the topic.
