120-minute Tibetan throat singing, gong, singing bowl and chanted mantra meditation sitting concert – solo concert by Karma Pema Dorje (Gábor Ölvedi)
The evening featured the first solo album (Gate of the Mountains, 2020), his second double solo album (Tara, 2022), and his latest, third solo album (Menedék/Refuge, 2024), featuring Buddhist mantras set to music, performed by the throat singer, percussionist and multi-instrumentalist.
Exploring our inner world and spiritual spaces, experiencing non-separation, opening up external and internal spaces with Tibetan, Japanese and Southeast Asian Buddhist mantras, prayers and sound vibrations...
Visitors to the concert can glimpse its functioning and existence in the manifested world from an unusual perspective, created by human voices, archaic singing techniques and sound vibrations in safe spaces.
The path within us may become clear, and as we move from mantra to mantra, song to song, we may glimpse and perhaps even experience the deeper layers and meaning of our existence; we may formulate wishes and make offerings for a more elevated, conscious world!
As we allow sound vibrations to penetrate deep into our cells, the open spiritual and physical space becomes boundless and timeless, helping to sever the bonds of everyday dualistic consciousness and free us from the ingrained habit of experiencing things as separate from one another.
To conclude the evening, we offer the beneficial results of the meditation and concert for the benefit of all sentient beings.
