Although they no longer live together, Anna and Maggi continue to raise their three children together in a small town in Iceland. After losing her former studio, Anna is trying to continue her creative work in a new place. Maggi works as a fisherman, spending long periods at sea, but when she returns home she tries to spend as much time as possible with her family. As the seasons change, a new balance slowly emerges in their daily lives. Although their relationship has changed, the love and togetherness between them remains a part of their lives.
Hlynur Pálmason, one of Iceland's most original contemporary directors, depicts the delicate balance between nature and human relationships with humour and a subtle dose of surrealism.
