The protagonists of the story are members of a student team who have "mistakenly" made it to a world foreign language competition. Delphine, a disillusioned literature teacher, strikes a good deal with her students: they leave her alone and she gives them 19 out of 20 points. But the plan backfires when the class's excellent, but unrealistic, results qualify them for the World Latin Championships in Naples. To make matters worse, the headmistress appoints her overzealous nephew as chaperone. Not wanting to miss her chance, and above all to save her comfortable position, Delphine sees only one solution: cheat!
In the finest tradition of classic French comedies, this film, which follows the spirit of the unforgettable 1980's The Immature Ones, uses comedy to highlight the problem of the "less" educators' mirror.
