Based on a novel by Roland Perez, this true-life story is based on real events. Roland Perez was born with bunions in the early sixties and was therefore considered disabled by everyone. Everyone except his mother, who was determined to have her son cured, no matter what, and to give him not only a happy life, but a healthy one. The mother had to face bureaucracy, health restrictions and social prejudices, but she cared about nothing but her son's health. Alongside her maternal instincts, the songs of world-famous singer Sylvie Vartan kept her spirits up and her hope that her child would recover and become a success.
