After the very successful beginners' carving course in spring, the course will be continued in autumn, with the topics Bakony shepherd carving and Szentgál carving Milán Kropf woodcarver led by.

To participate in the advanced folk carving course, you must have completed the beginner folk carving course.
The course consists of 10 sessions, from 25 September to 4 December,
every Thursday between 17.00 and 20.00 (10 sessions)

Course fee: 46.000Ft/person

Thematics:

• further immersion in the mysteries of shepherd carving
• mastering new techniques: embossed background (flat and curved surface), simple openwork carving, spandering (wax inlay), lead casting
• up to 3 of the following: canes, drinking cups, razors or other boxes/tents

The course will also include guest speakers:

• Csaba Szabó - collector, his work consists of shepherd carving and stick collection (which can be used for inspiration)
• Gyula Horvát - carving and lead casting in Szentgál
• János Mánya - presentation of the Kalotaszeg carving
