Henri Gonzo and the Paper Dragons - Water Lizard ------- N°2 Album launch

This year sees the release of the second album by Henri Gonzo and the Paper Dragons, a classy indie rock band. In their third year, the band has already released fourteen albums, several self-directed videos, sold-out shows at MÜPA, and numerous big concerts at festivals, dark clubs, caves and churches all over the country...

Papírsárkányok's second album delves further into the beauty of the Hungarian language, drawing inspiration from poetry, visual art and travels. It wanders through sculpture parks, the river bank, the sea, the cemetery, the night, the past and the present. Fragile but determined, serious and fun, always demanding and conscientious. He leaves nothing to chance. He elaborates with crystal-clear logic all the details that might seem possible to the uninitiated. He tests the post-modern man's ears and attention, his ability to connect, or perhaps even to create an experience that today we can only expect to discover in good old antiquarian bookshops.

Among the songs on the album are poems by Ágnes Nemes-Nagy, Gyula Juhász, Lőrinc Szabó and even a poem inspired by Nicolas Guillen from Cuba. This time the orchestration is sometimes more dynamic, sometimes more classical, like the first bunch of songs which the press in 2022 described as ''Most like itself...- We Love Budapest''
