Concentrated, heady, balsamic, pungent, nasal? Fragrances are amazingly diverse, and the human sense of smell plays a much bigger role in our lives than we might imagine. Visitors to the Scent of Fragrance interactive exhibition can test their nose and their sense of smell in a fun, fragrance-rich game!
During Scentland, participants can find out if they can recognise and name different scents, while learning through play about the amazingly complex phenomenon of smell and olfaction. Throughout the exhibition, visitors will be introduced to the science of smell, the secrets of noses and trunks, and the wonderful world of the most surprising scents and smells.
Upon entry, visitors are given text playing cards to help them move step by step closer to the goal. The unique exhibition with its enigmatic scent exhibits, fairytale stories and scientific curiosities is waiting for young and old. The content, which can be read and seen in the exhibition, has been put together in such a way that it can be integrated into the educational curriculum. Among other things, scent adventurers can learn about the smell of outer space, recognise exotic plants from distant landscapes with their noses, or fly back to ancient times and holidays by smelling them. Visitors can find out how aquatic animals smell, why miners used to carry canaries in their mines, or how many times King Louis XIV bathed in perfumed splendour during his long reign.
Entrance fee: 500 HUF/person
Family ticket: 1.500 HUF/ (2 adults + 2 children, or 1 adult + 3 children)
Group ticket: 200 HUF (over 10 people)
