An epoch-making painter departs from the world of the living. His paintings can be found in every major museum in the world, and no self-respecting art collector would leave his works out of their collection. Art critics praise him to the skies, and the American art world is abuzz when it is revealed that the masterpiece of his last creative period, „Nude with Violin”, is among his estate.
The family arrives at the funeral, and after a moment of mourning, they realise that the Master has left no will. However, his valet, who has served him for years, has a letter... And as the uninvited visitors multiply and letters deposited in bank safes are discovered, the past becomes increasingly confusing. Or is it becoming clearer?
