Our speaker has visited several nearby geoparks with fellow hikers in recent years. He will present a selection of the geological treasures and curious formations there.
The Austrian amethyst world, the German fish lizard showcase, the Carrara marble baths, the Slovenian mercury ore occurrence, the Serbian Kazan Gorge, the Croatian Ravna Gora and the Morava karst are among the sites.
