Salute to the queens and kings of sound! A musical, entertaining souvenir show, a talk show for two hours with many unexpected surprises, when we long for a woman, Stephen the King arrives and Aida comes on stage to the greatest Hungarian opera icons of the last 50 years.
We welcome and celebrate them in Veszprém, the city and our guests sing for them:
Grate Andrea, Kossuth and Ferenc Liszt Prize-winning artist, Prima Primissima Prize-winning artist, Bartók-Pásztory Prize-winning artist, perpetual member of the Society of Immortals
Katalin Pitti, Liszt Ferenc Prize-winning, distinguished and deserving artist, Bartók-Pásztory Prize-winning artist, hereditary member of the Hungarian State Opera House
Magda Kalmár, Kossuth and Ferenc Liszt Prize winner, distinguished and deserving artist, permanent member of the Hungarian State Opera House, permanent member of the Company of Immortals
Lajos Miller, Kossuth- and Liszt Ferenc Award-winning opera singer, Artist of the Nation, hereditary member of the Hungarian State Opera House, hereditary member of the Company of Immortals
The special thing about the evening is that the audience has never seen the four legendary artists on stage before. Together, they are legends, having sung every great female soprano and baritone role in the operatic repertoire, with the exception of Antarctica. We will have a special encounter and conversation with them, when they will be presented by popular performers, artistic groups and musicians from Veszprém, and we will get to know the man, the eternal woman, the real man, the artist, the chosen celestial force, the example, the path to be followed. They have spent so much time on stage, in rehearsals, that they have travelled around the world, they have sung with world stars, they have sung in the world's greatest opera houses, they have been showered with more flowers than perhaps the territory of a small country, they have been applauded by continents. Now, in Veszprém, we applaud them for this in an entertaining, genre-diverse evening.
