The coward

2022-06-08 17:00 - 18:00

In this performance, created by Nézőművészeti Kft., a young boy talks about his thoughts and feelings, his controversial relationship with his family, and how he started taking drugs and the torture it took to quit. And a father who watches, listens and lives it all. Disturbingly personal dialogues and inner monologues, humorous and bitter situations wedged between life's extraordinary twists of fate. Where can intentions slip? Why do we take the 'easy' way out when we feel our lives have reached a dead end?

The script of the performance is based on personal documents of people who have confessed their drug addiction, as well as on the writings of the authors.
The production won the main prize of the VI Children's and Youth Theatre Review 2011 and the Glass Mountain Award for the best youth performance at the ASSITEJ Children's and Youth Theatre Biennale 2012.
