The film is based on the life of Lee Miller and is based on real events. She began her career as a popular fashion model and became a respected war correspondent during the Second World War, shooting for Vogue magazine on the European theatre of war. Miller risked her life to get as close as possible to the realities of war and tried to stand her ground as a woman in the hell of the front line.
