The production is a collaboration between the Pécs Ballet and the Pécs National Theatre.

The repertoire of the Pécs Ballet has always included ballets for children and young people. They consider the artistic education of young audiences who love and understand dance to be their main task. Their performances for young audiences aim to provide quality entertainment, as well as an introduction to classical works and new interpretations. In their performances, humour and playfulness are just as important as high quality dance technique. The dancers enchant audiences, young and old, with their exceptional talent for characterisation. As a father of several children, director-choreographer Balázs Vincze has a strong command of the language of the little ones; his choreography of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has been one of the most successful fairytale ballets of recent decades.

"There are many versions of the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Our dance theatre version follows the original fairy tale, but what the Brothers Grimm wrote is brought to life on stage using the rules of the art of movement. The two choreographers of the performance, Tünde Czebe and Balázs Vincze, have created a youthful, dynamic and extremely witty world of dance and movement to the music of Richárd Riederauer.

From kindergarteners to seniors, all members of the family are welcome to our story ballet! Children will be fascinated and the adults will be entertained. It is spectacular, colourful, moving, charming and understandable, in one act, 55-60 minutes. It features not seven tired, but seven lively, funny dwarfs, as well as many, many charming forest animals: squirrels, bunnies, ladybirds and bears, and of course the beautiful Snow White finds happiness with her handsome prince. We aim to delight young and old alike, and perhaps some will find the theatre a delight through this story ballet. It's like a little injection: if it works, it lasts a lifetime!"
