The first camera was invented in 1895 and today there are around 45 billion cameras in use worldwide. The film is an extraordinary journey from the late 19th century to Instagram and social media. The filmmakers have compiled their film from old newsreels, propaganda footage and well-known and popular social media videos. In a critical voice, they sought to answer the question of the power of the camera and images, the social consequences of the footage shared with the world, the impact of viral videos and clickbait-able short films on millions of viewers.
